Stong Waterfall

 

Gunung Stong (1390m), Gunung Baha (1395m) and Gunung Ayam (1480m) are situated in the Jelawang Jungle, near the village of Dabong in the state of Kelantan, Malaysia. The Stong waterfall, at a height of 305m, is claimed to be the tallest in South East Asia (which I doubt so - 300m is not very tall for a waterfall, and I've seen taller one at Kinabalu.)

There are many limestone caves near the vicinity of Dabong village, among the popular ones are Gua Gelap ("Dark Cave"), Gua Kris ("Kris Cave", Kris is a Malay sword), Gua Pagar ("Fence Cave") and Gua Ikan ("Fish Cave"). Sadly, Gua Ikan had been badly vandalized by graffiti, leaving only the other three worth exploring. Arrange with your guide if you wish to go for cave exploration.

Langkawi Geopark Logo

On June 1, 2007, Langkawi Island has been given a World Geopark status by UNESCO.[4] Three of its main conservation area in Langkawi Geopark;Machincang Cambrian Geoforest Park, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park and Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest park.(Island of the Pregnant Maiden Lake). MUNGKIN ramai tidak tahu Pantai Sri Tujoh di Jajahan Tumpat, Kelantan terhasil daripada pembentukan tujuh teluk. Keindahan semulajadinya memberikan ketenangan kepada sesiapa yang berkunjung. Duduk bersantai melihat pemandangan pantai ini juga mampu melenyapkan bebanan kerja yang bersarang di fikiran. Tambahan pula, apabila melihat aktiviti nelayan menebar jala dari tepi pantai.

Sumber pendapatan nelayan ini tidak terhad kepada tangkapan ikan malah menjalankan penternakan ikan dalam sangkar dan memproses ikan masin.

Keindahan pantai ini sudah lama dikenali pelancong asing menerusi penganjuran pertandingan wau peringkat antarabangsa tidak lama dulu.

Tarikan utamanya bagaimanapun terletak pada fenomena tujuh teluk yang tidak boleh didapati di tempat lain. Daripada sebuah pantai yang sebelum ini pernah diancam hakisan teruk, pemandangan semulajadinya berubah menjadi tarikan kepada pengunjung dari luar.

Pantai Cahaya Bulan merupakan salah satu pantai yang terkenal di negeri Kelantan, Malaysia. Ia terletak kira-kira 10 km dari Kota Bharu dan merupakan kawasan pendaratan tentera Jepun untuk menyerang British pada 8 Disember 1941. Pada suatu ketika, pantai ini dinamakan Pantai Cinta Berahi, suatu nama yang dikatakan diberi oleh seorang askar British ketika dia di pantai ini pada masa Perang Dunia II. Pada masa itu, askar tersebut sedang menderita kerana cintanya tidak berbalas. Sesetengah orang tempatan masih menggunakan nama lama ini pada hari ini, walaupun mereka lebih suka merujuk kepada pantai ini sebagai PCB.
